The MCS Sinfonia cruise vessel spans 275m long and boasts an impressive crew of 725. Since one of its regular destinations is Durban harbour, our enthusiastic and ever so friendly spiritual worker Ronnie Odendaal, wasted no time in taking the opportunity to do what we have been all called to do as Christians: Share the love of Christ.
Every Monday and Friday, Ronnie would set a table outside the immigration office, filled with Christian literature, free to anyone who wishes to grab a book, bible or pamphlet in hopes that it would inspire, give strength or hope to a seafarer in need.
Its important to note, that as an organisation, we understand that seafarers from all races and creeds go through overwhelming personal battles. Seafaring is a job that requires a lot of sacrifice and at many times is an extremely lonely job. What drives our mission to do what we do, is recognizing this need. Seafarers are not alone, and it is the mission of Biblia to take every opportunity to let seafarers know this.
Ronnie has been an exceptional example in demonstrating the love of Christ, allowing seafarers to know, that through us as ‘’vessels’’ of Christ, seafarers can find hope, love, strength and compassion.
